TSA Band of Gold Director, Josh Brandon, was
recently honored by GC&SU for being in the top 5% of the graduate
school and being accepted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Director's Update 3/26!
I
hope everyone had a good weekend with all the Cherry Blossom
festivities that took place. This week is going to be a big week for
band with the spring concert coming up! The concert is this
Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in Trojan Hall. Students
involved in the concert need to be in Trojan Hall by 6:15. Students
need to wear the following:
5th
grade: Chapel dress with yellow polo
6th
grade: Chapel dress with blue polo
7th-12th grade: Boys wear white shirt, black pants, tie, shoes,
socks and belt. Girls wear all black (dress, skirt, pants and top,
etc.)
Students who do not show up for the concert will receive a "0" for
the concert and will write a paper on a topic of my choosing when
school starts back after spring break. Band is part of the academic
day and needs to be treated likewise. Missing the concert for sports
practice or game is unacceptable.
Our
next monthly booster meeting will be on Tuesday, April 10, at
6 p.m. in the band room. We will be discussing band camp and
rehearsal calendar for the summer.
I
will be issuing out band camp contracts when school starts back on
April 10. If your child is going to do marching band next year, you
will need to return the contract signed with other materials too.
Our
band banquet will be on Sunday, May 6, at 3 p.m. in Trojan
Hall. We will present awards to students 5th-12th grade and will
have light snacks in the cafeteria afterwards.
